Bessie Eva Perry was the daughter of Clarence George & Ida Mae "Ettie" (Campbell) Perry. She was born on September 14, 1885 in Calhoun County, Michigan, USA.
On June 14, 1903, she married Orville Clayton Shaver, in Carmel, Eaton County, Michigan. He was the son of Joseph Watson & Agnes Colista (Palmer) Shaver.
As of 1927 and 1928, their family lived at 638 Dewey Avenue in Jackson County, Michigan.
On the 1930 U.S. Census (dated May 3, 1930), he listed his occupation as an auto parts laborer and living in Blackman Township, Jackson County.
