Clinton Deland Shaver was the oldest child of Melvin Burdett & Emma J. (Raymond) Shaver. He was born on December 16, 1900 in Vermontville, Eaton County, Michigan, USA.
Per the 1900 U.S. Census, dated June 9, 1900, he was 8 months old and living with his parents in Carmel Township, Eaton County.
In Spring 1910 (per the U.S. Census), he lived with his parents & siblings in Eaton Rapids, Eaton County.
On September 1, 1918, he married Jessie Goldie VanOrman, daughter of Alvin VanOrman.
On September 13, 1918, Clinton registered for the WWI Draft as being 18 years old. On the draft card, he listed his place of employment as Hancock Manufacturing Co. located in Charlotte.
As of January 19, 1920 (per the 1920 U.S. Census) was living in Charlotte, Eaton County and occupied as a farm laborer.
Per the 1930 U.S. Census, dated April 24, 1930, he was occupied as a "truck driver - Dray". Their family address was 516 South Main.
Clinton passed away on September 26, 1982, at the age of 81, in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan.
