Neil L. Shaver, Sr.
Neil L. Shaver was the son of Clinton Deland & Jessie Goldie (VanOrman) Shaver. He was born on January 24, 1928 in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan, USA.
He married Alta "Squirt" Rhoades, daughter of Glenn & Marian (Dennie) Rhoades, on August 3, 1947 in Dimondale, Eaton County and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2009.
Neil was employed by A&P for over 20 years, and was an agent for the Detroit Free Press, retiring in 1990. He was also a life member of the Masons. Neil enjoyed square dancing with his wife, Squirt, traveling all over Michigan and had fond memories of dancing to Big Band Music in the 1940's.
Clinton passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010, at the age of 82, in his home in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan. Funeral services were held on May 13, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes in Swartz Creek.
