Vernon Francis "Butch" Forrester

 

Vernon Francis "Butch" Forrester was the son of Ellsworth David & Maude Bell (Shaver) Forrester. He was born on May 21, 1929 in Nevada Mills, Steuben County, Indiana, USA.

Per the 1930 U.S. Census, dated April 2, 1930, he was 10 months old. Per the 1940 U.S. Census, dated April 3, 1940, he was 10. His family resided in Jamestown, Steuben County, Indiana.

He married Marcia Joan Sams, daughter of Willie & Lelah Beryl (Jones) Sams, sometime around 1950.

Per the 1951 Fremont City Directory, Vernon was employed as a construction worker and living with Joan at 912 1/2 West State in Fremont, Sandusky, Ohio.

As of 1956, per the City Directory for Beloit (WI) & South Beloit (IL), they resided at 1315 Clark in South Beloit, Winnebago County, Illinois. His occupation was indicated as a Brick Mason.

Per the Beloit City Directory for 1959, he was employed as a foreman at Bryden's Building & Development and residing at 4 Buddyville Drive in South Beloit.

In the 1960 Beloit City Directory, he was employed as a cement finisher for Thomas H. Harris and resided at 5 Buddyville Drive in South Beloit.

As of 1981, they resided at 824 Allen Avenue in South Beloit, Winnebago County, Illinois.

He passed away on October 10, 2001. The U.S. Social Security Death Index registers his death in Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin. An alternate death location is listed as South Beloit in Winnebago County, Illinois; which was where he and his wife resided. The cities were intertwined together.
