Floyd Evert Keith


Floyd Evert Keith was the son of Curtis M. & Ida Mae (McDonald) Keith. He was born on December 17, 1898 in Van West County, Ohio, USA.

Not long after his birth, his family relocated to Castleton Township, Barry County, Michigan (per the 1900 U.S. Census) and then later to Kalamo, Eaton County, Michigan (per the 1910 U.S. Census).

Per the WWI Draft Registration records, on September 12, 1918, he was living in Vermontville in Eaton County and working as a farm laborer for his father. He was of average height and build with brown eyes and black hair.

On June 6, 1925 (age 26) in Bellevue, Eaton County, he married Jessie May Shaver, daughter of Arthur Adelbert & Ida Mae (Kellogg) Shaver.

Per the 1930 U.S. Census ( dated April 8, 1930), she and Floyd were living at 307 Prairie Street in Charlotte, Eaton County. Floyd was working as a truck driver for an oil company.

Per the 1940 U.S. Census (dated April 10, 1940), she and Floyd were still living at 307 Prairie Street in Charlotte, Eaton County. Her father, Arthur, was listed on the record with them. Floyd was occupied as a salesman for Wholesale Oil.

On September 16, 1964, he passed away in Charlotte.
