Jessie Elanore (Mcphee) LeClear
Jessie Elanore McPhee was the daughter of Glenn Irving & Bessie Marie (Shaver) McPhee. She was born on September 6, 1923 in Michigan, USA.
She married Francis Earl LeClear, son of Harold Heath & Bernice Etta (Brainard) LeClear.
About 1946, they lived in Virginia, USA.
Records indicate that she (and her four daughters) were residents in April 1955 of [3095] Pleasant Aveune in Lansing (Ward 17), Ingham County, Michigan. They are listed on the passenger list for the USNS UPSHUR (T-AP 198) which departed Bremerhaven, Germany on April 23, 1955 and arrived in New York City on May 2, 1955
About 1952, they lived in Michigan, USA.
In 1957 and 1959, the Rapid City Directories indicate that Francis & Jessie were living in Rapid City, Pennington County, South Dakota, USA. Here, Francis was noted as working for the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. Their address was 3725 West Main.
They moved back to Bath, Clinton County, Michigan; sometime before 1976, where their children attended Bath High School.
Jessie died on August 5, 1984 in Bath. She was buried on August 8, 1984 next to her husband at Ft. Custer National Cemetery Plot: D, 0 , 40) in Augusta, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. Her headstone indicates that she served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II; but, I have not found any records to correspond.
