Myrtle Inez Shaver was the daughter of Bertrand Cassius & Ada Lovista (Blodgett) Shaver. She was born on March 12, 1900 in Michigan, USA.

On June 15, 1900 (per the U.S. Census that year), her family lived in Chester Township, Eaton County, Michigan.

Per the 1910 U.S. Census (dated April 1910) she lived with her parents and sister in Carmel Township, Eaton County.

On August 7, 1918 (age 18), she married Ray Gerald Boughton, son of Noah Webster & Charlotte M. (Hire) Boughton, in Kalamo, Eaton County, Michigan. Ray was a farmer.

Per the 1920 U.S. Census (dated January 3, 1920), Ray & Myrtle (& their son) lived in Benton, Eaton County under the household of his widowed mother, Lottie. Ray was a farmer.

Per the 1930 U.S. Census (dated April 11, 1930), they lived in Charlotte, Eaton County. Their address was listed as 112 Lansing Street. Ray was listed as a garage mechanic.

The 1940 U.S. Census (dated April 10, 1930), also indicates that they lived in Charlotte, Eaton County at 112 Lansing Street. Ray was listed as a service man at the garage.

Myrtle passed away on January 31, 1994, at the age of 93, in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan. She was buried at Needmore Cemetery in Needmore, Eaton County next to Ray.
