Arthur Lester Calvert

Arthur Lester Calvert was the son of Chester Arthur & Mary Beatrice (Burby) Calvert. He was born on April 13, 1923 in Indiana, USA.

Per the 1930 U.S. Census, Albert was 7 and living with his mother (Mary), stepfather (Jervys Sebring), and step-siblings (Harold & Mary Sebring) in Garrett, De Kalb, Indiana, USA.

On October 29, 1942, Arthur enlisted in the WWII Draft at Camp Perry LaCarne (in LaCarne, Ottawa, Ohio) to join the Army Air Corps.

Sometime around 1942, he married Agnes Ardith "Aggie" Forrester. She was the daughter of Ellsworth David & Maude Bell (Shaver) Forrester. On June 25, 1945, she enlisted in the Women's Army Corp. for the WWII Draft under the married name of "Agnes A. Calvert".

On December 5, 1945, Arthur was released from military service. I have no records indicating where he was stationed during WWII; however,

In the 1956 & 1958 Beloit City Directories (for Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin), Albert and Agnes were listed as living at 1536 6th Street in Beloit. He was employed as a salesman by Omar Baking.

In the 1960 Beloit City Directory, their address was listed as 1714 Division Street in Beloit.

Agnes passed away on August 5, 1961 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin at age 38.
