Doris Clara (Shaver) Boughton


Doris Clara Shaver was the daughter of Clifford Joseph & Luella M. (Randall) Shaver. She was born on June 20, 1919 in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan, USA along with her twin, Dorothy Agnes Shaver

Per the 1920 U.S. Census (Jan 1920), she lived with her family on their farm in Chester, Eaton County.

As of April 10, 1930, per the U.S. Census for that year, her family had relocated to 211 Warren in Charlotte, Eaton County.

Per the 1940 U.S. Census (Apr 1940), her family had relocated to 7511 Miller Street in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Her father was working on an auto conveyor line and Doris worked as a typist in a police office.

She married Hal G. "Bud" Boughton, son of Lewis Legrand & Blanche May (Woodworth) Boughton sometime around 1945.

As of the 1951 East Detroit City Directory, Hal & Doris were residents of 15832 Frazho Road in Roseville, Macomb County, Michigan. Hal was employed in Detroit at Budd Co. as a boiler operator.

She died on May 25, 1985, at age 65. At the time, they resided in Roseville. Her husband survived her until his death in 2004.
