Glenna Elsie Waite was the daughter of Adelbert & Mary J. (McGormley) Waite. She was born on December 14, 1887 in Chester Township, Eaton County, Michigan, USA under the name "Elsie Glenna Waite" per her birth record.
Merlin Palmer Shaver was the second-to-youngest child of Joseph Watson & Agnes Colista (Palmer) Shaver.
She married Merlin Palmer Shaver on September 22, 1908 in Carmel Township, Eaton County. He was the son of Joseph Watson & Agnes Colista (Palmer) Shaver. At the time of their marriage, he was a farmer and she was a school teacher.
In
1930, Merlin & Glenna they were noted as living with their daughter
in Blackman Township, Jackson County. Merlin's occupation was that of a
farmer. In
1932, they were noted on the Jackson directory as living
at 249 Douglass.
Glenna passed away in 1972 and was buried at Gresham Cemetery in Vermontville, Eaton County, next to her husband, Merlin. The headstone for Glenna and Merlin appears to be inaccurate, listing "D." as the middle initial for Merlin, instead of "P.". The records for this cemetery are unfortunately in shambles, mainly due to a fire that destroyed records in the 1940s.
