Orville Clayton & Bessie Eva (Perry) Shaver

Bessie Eva Perry was the daughter of Clarence George & Ida Mae "Ettie" (Campbell) Perry. She was born on September 14, 1885 in Calhoun County, Michigan, USA.

On June 14, 1903, she married Orville Clayton Shaver, in Carmel, Eaton County, Michigan. He was the son of Joseph Watson & Agnes Colista (Palmer) Shaver.

As of 1927 and 1928, their family lived at 638 Dewey Avenue in  Jackson County, Michigan.

On the 1930 U.S. Census (dated May 3, 1930), he listed his occupation as an auto parts laborer and living in Blackman Township, Jackson County.

Following the Census, the Jackson directory lists their addresses as follows:

1931: 1002 Wayne

1932: 1005 Wayne

1933: 831 Foote

1935: 614 Francis


Orville passed away on January 10, 1965 at the age of 88. Bessie survived him until September 15, 1969.

They are buried next to each other at Millerburg Cemetery.

Together, Orville and Bessie had nine children:
